Office telephone services for faculty and staff will begin to transition to Microsoft Teams during the Spring semester of 2023. After the transition is complete in the Summer of 2023 you will no longer be able to sign into Skype for Business to conduct internal communications.
All video, voice, and chat communications will occur within Microsoft Teams following your accounts transition. The Microsoft Teams application is included with Microsoft 365.
Most USB devices that work with Skype for Business will also work with Teams Calls. However, departments may need to replace some IP phones with Teams-compatible models.
